Cranfield University
Raytheon supports Digital Aviation Research and Technology Centre (DARTEC), through its development of Air Transport Management Systems (ATMS).
Fife College
Education outreach work in Scotland is centered around Fife College's Modern Apprenticeship (MA) and HNC Qualification. Six students will work towards gaining the qualifications through a programme of study in Electronic Engineering who are in year one and two with full-time study for the first year, then day-release for years two and three. Fife College is an amalgamation between Adam Smith / Carnegie / Rosyth Colleges.
Lancaster University
Raytheon is funding three bursaries a year to enable students to study for Lancaster’s Master’s degree in Cyber security. The collaboration with students from the university and Raytheon is an integration of Lancaster’s PhD programme as part of Raytheon’s Distinguished Engineers programme.
Nottingham University
Raytheon has funded technology and development partnerships with SMEs as part of its SpaRk (Small to medium-sized enterprise Partnerships Advancing Raytheon Knowledge) competition with one funding the development of a Power Convertor at Nottingham.
University of Gloucester
Support is provided by Raytheon to fund three third-year undergraduate bursaries to students, with conditional job offers on graduation. The partnership is part of Raytheon’s commitment to the Cyber First and Cyber Invest initiatives, supported by Government Communications Headquarters (GCHQ) under the National Cyber Security Strategy.
University of Hertfordshire
For the last 10 years Raytheon has sponsored the University of Hertfordshire School of Engineering and Technology awards programme. The Raytheon Prize is awarded each year to a second-year student who has demonstrated exemplary performance in their year of study and is presented to the student in an annual awards ceremony held at the University. Raytheon also participates in the Industrial Steering Committee for the university providing a link from Academia to Industry.
University of Strathclyde
Fully-funded industrial research opportunities are provided in partnership with Raytheon and are available in Aero-Electrical Power Systems within the university’s Institute for Energy & Environment Department.
