Our businesses are using our game-changing technologies to help tackle climate change and protect our communities from environmental threats.
This includes mapping extreme weather events, reducing emissions from civil aviation and helping farmers tackle food insecurity. We are fully committed to use our expertise to engineer a more sustainable future.
Our carbon reduction plan sets out how we will cut our own emissions, across all areas of the business. The plan outlines our commitment and approach to achieving Net Zero, with a focus on areas such as switching to renewable energy, reducing waste and introducing electric vehicles.
Focus areas
Climate risk and resilience
We're determined to use our expertise and leading technology to help address global issues including the climate crisis. Our technology helps support the international response through data, analysis, and providing our partners and customers with the latest information at their fingertips so they can act.
Company-wide carbon reduction plan
We're intensifying our work to reach net zero across our business by 2050 and launching a new company-wide Net Zero strategy alongside our carbon reduction plan.
The carbon reduction plan commits the company to cut our footprint across all areas of the business. For example, the plan commits us to switch to at least 50% renewable energy sources across all UK sites, at least 50% electric vehicles in the company fleet and to have at least 80% of our waste from site recycled - all by 2025.
