Raytheon UK Takes Action to Improve Workplace Diversity With Major LGBTQIA+ Community Partnership

LONDON (June 20, 2022) - The technology and innovation leader Raytheon UK is taking a significant step to increase its commitment to diversity and inclusion in the workplace by signing a partnership with award winning lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer+ professional network, myGwork.

myGwork offers individual members a safe space where they can connect with inclusive employers, find jobs, mentors, professional events, and news and has over 500 thousand registered members and one million monthly users of its platform. Since its launch in 2013, myGwork has had over 300 organisations join their network to help support their pledge for inclusivity across all sectors.

Alex Rose-Parfitt, Engineering director and executive sponsor of the Raytheon UK Pride employee resource group, said: “Partnering with myGwork is a testament to our Employee Resource Group on its continued push for LGBTQIA+ visibility and equality, not only at Raytheon UK, but the wider defence industry.

With more than 500,000 registered members and one million monthly users of the platform, Raytheon UK’s partnership with the network will help the business reach out directly to the LGBTQ+ community as part of its objective to better represent the true diversity of Britain and bring a broader, more diverse range of people, skills and experiences into the defence and intelligence sector.

Raytheon UK has worked to build an inclusive and equitable work environment to ensure that every employee feels enabled to deliver the best work of their life. It’s LGBTQIA+ network works as the eyes and ears of the LGBTQIA+ community within Raytheon UK, advocating on behalf of employees ensuring that the business builds a great place to work for LGBTQIA+ colleagues.
