Raytheon UK to outfit U.S. military with advanced GPS anti-jamming systems

London (September 13, 2021) - Raytheon UK, received a 10 year Indefinite-Delivery / Indefinite-Quantity (IDIQ) contract, estimated value of $250 million, with Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) on behalf of the United States Department of Defense (US DOD) to provide US Air Force and Navy advanced Assured Positioning Navigation and Timing (APNT) products.

The contract includes the Advanced Digital Antenna Product (ADAP) and GPS Anti-Jam System (GAS-1) systems for multiple fixed and rotary wing aircraft and naval platforms for U.S. and allied customers. The ADAP and GAS-1 systems protect GPS-based navigation against complex deliberate jamming and spoofing, as well as accidental interference scenarios.

This follows on from a previous long-term supply agreement with the US DOD whereby Raytheon UK has achieved a Contractor Performance Assessment Report (CPAR) rating of “Exceptional” in eight of the past ten years.

“We welcome the opportunity to continue our close relationship with the U.S. DOD through this long term IDIQ agreement,” said John Gallagher, managing director for Weapons & Sensors, Raytheon UK. “We will continue to provide the capabilities that improve the safety and security of the warfighter against the ever-increasing threats to GPS signals within the complex battlefield environment”.

“We have been extremely fortunate to work with a vendor who understands the need to provide a durable and dependable product for our warfighter from cradle to grave,” said D. R. Moody PNT PO GAS-1/ADAP Program Manager, Robins Air Force Base, GA. “Both products have proven their exceptional ability to ensure PNT within multiple operational theatres.”

Raytheon UK is globally-recognised for providing advanced GPS anti-jamming technology, including ADAP, GAS-1, as well as the next generation small form factor Landshield and Landshield Plus anti-jam antenna systems. There are over 13,000 systems supplied and in service on a wide range of platforms around the world, including air, sea, weapon, land and autonomous vehicles.
