The Northern Ireland Systems & Software Centre (NISSC) was created to focus on high quality / high value software engineering and development services. The facility was opened in Derry, Northern Ireland, to leverage the high availability of software engineers in the area.
RSL's goal is to supply software engineering solutions to programmes that need effective software development carried out in a controlled, expert and costefficient manner. NISSC is able to support any part of the software lifecycle, from requirements gathering and definition, through integration and on-site acceptance testing. NISSC follows best-practice processes, including Raytheon's IPDS, tailored locally to conform to SEI CMM. The company offers a programme-tailored solution, with the ability to support all phases of software development, using highly qualified staff and up to date methods. The goal is to effectively address the traditional problems of quality, reliability and predictability of software support.
RSL has a commitment to modern project management and process, indicated by the rapid achievement of ISO standard and CMMI Level-3 accreditation. Status tracking, risk management and EVMS are routinely used on all projects and RSL has proven ability to integrate with programmes and facilities in both the US and Europe.
