     HOMELAND SECURITY

The possibility of terrorist attack brings into vivid focus the need to harness technology to prepare for, detect, protect against and respond to threats to homeland security. Raytheon has proven expertise in emergency management systems, advanced electronics, intelligence and IT systems that provide 21st-century solutions to tracking, monitoring and identifying potential threats, and to protecting our communities.

From emergency preparation and infrastructure protection to counter-terrorism, law enforcement, transportation security, border control and nuclear counter proliferation, Raytheon’s capabilities are being used to provide solutions to address the vast spectrum of threats to homeland security across the globe.

Raytheon’s homeland security capabilities are based on decades of experience in developing and deploying solutions that perform under the most challenging and harshest conditions.

In the U.K. the e-Borders programme is a major British Government initiative to create a modernised Intelligence-led, secure and integrated border control system for the 21st century.

Raytheon is the lead partner of Trusted Borders, a consortium that is made up of world-class business transformation skills built on experience of existing, similar programmes.

Trusted Borders brings together the capabilities of Raytheon, Accenture, Detica and Serco and in November 2006 was successfully downselected as one of the two final bidders for the e-Borders procurement. The consortium came together as a set of leading technology and service providers with the goal of offering the Home Office a value-for-money, low risk, proven end-to-end e-Borders solution.

Trusted Borders is looking forward to work in partnership with the Home Office through the convergence phase to develop a world-leading approach to modernising the UK's border controls.

In addition RSL is a key member of the team currently providing the miSense trial at Heathrow, Dubai and Hong Kong airports.
