Thank you for your interest in Raytheon UK. Below you’ll find a list of our facilities.
Broughton
This facility was developed to undertake systems integration work, in particular for the ASTOR (Airborne Stand-Off Reconnaissance) programme. Broughton is carrying out the modification and integration of the Sentinel R Mk 1 aircraft and the integration of the Ground Stations. In addition to utilising the site’s own indigenous capability and skills in specialised airframe modification work, Broughton benefits from technology transfer from the United States.
Farnborough
The Farnborough facility is the central location for Raytheon UK's Early Training Transformation (ETT) contract with the U.K. Ministry of Defence. ETT is an 18-month contract that will create a more efficient training curricula for specific training in the Aeronautical Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering and Communications and Information Systems Engineering domains.
Fylingdales
In 2004 Raytheon Systems Limited (now known as Raytheon UK) was awarded an important eight year contract with two one-year options, for Specialised System Engineering, Software Support and provision of IT services for the Solid State Phased Array Radar at the UKs Ballistic Missile Early Warning System at RAF Fylingdales. As a result of that contract win, RSL now has a team of 12 personnel based at the site.
Glenrothes
Raytheon’s Glenrothes facility in Fife has been a manufacturing and engineering hub of excellence for 50 years. Here, the company is developing world-leading technology for energy and more electric transportation. It is continuing to produce worldwide firsts in technologies that will improve discovery and security of new oil and gas reserves and will increase efficiency and lower the cost of power electronics in More Electric Vehicles and Aircraft.
Harlow
One of our principal design and manufacturing facilities, Harlow has an international reputation in a number of high technology areas. These include Air Traffic Management Systems, identification systems and jam-resistant navigation systems. The site is also heavily involved in Raytheons ISR and Network Enabled Capability activities and other major Raytheon UK programmes, such as ASTOR (Airborne Stand-Off Reconnaissance) and Paveway IV.
London
Raytheon UK’s Uxbridge facility opened in August 2007, and is a hub of innovation. This office is the base for the Raytheon UK corporate staff and functional leaders.
Waddington
Raytheon UK has been responsible for establishing and building the entire ASTOR (Airborne Stand-Off Reconnaissance system) complex at Waddington, including both the Royal Air Force 5 (AC) Squadron headquarters as well as the sophisticated training facility itself. In addition to classrooms, offices and student rest facilities the complex includes a Training Equipment Hall and a range of advanced training aids, including a Fixed Base Flight Crew Trainer, Rear Crew Trainer, Ground Station Crew Trainer, a Target Generator and Radar Simulator, and a Mission Interface Simulator.
Warminster
In 2004 the U.K. Ministry of Defence opened an Integration and Test laboratory at the Warminster Land Warfare Centre in Wiltshire. The unit is to help test new software and evaluate new tactics and doctrine in a synthetic environment across a wide range of operational teams, such as indirect fire and joint operations. This facility provides collective training for British Army and NATO Units from Battle Group through Divisional level to Corps. Raytheon personnel operate the facility, providing engineering support and system advice to the military.
