Raytheon UK (RTN UK) has been awarded Corporate Accreditation status by the Association for Project Management (APM), recognising the company’s exemplary lifecycle model, strive for continuous improvement and development of project management professionals.
The APM leads the way in defining Project Management (PM) standards in the U.K.; the achievement of APM’s corporate accreditation clearly demonstrates to RTN UK’s customers, stakeholders, suppliers and employees that RTN UK is committed to the highest standards of project management professionalism, as well as helping to retain and attract the best project management talent in the country.
RTN UK’s systems and processes were carefully scrutinised by an APM assessment board against the Association’s rigorous standards. Our submission of evidence successfully demonstrated the following strengths:
- Raytheon’s Integrated Product Development System process framework and alignment with values considered to be Best Practice
- Programme Tiering - identifying project complexity and providing a link with PM experience and development
- Raytheon's PM Certification and Qualifications packages and development opportunities
- Raytheon’s emphasis on an individual’s responsibility for their Continuing Professional Development
- The interest shown by the Raytheon UK PM community in gaining the recognition and support that APM membership brings
With Raytheon’s proven track record in quality assurance and excellence, this latest accreditation sits alongside other recent industry recognitions, such as the BS11000 Certification standard – granted to RTN UK by the British Standards Institute – and the re-certification of the RTN UK’s ISO14001 standard of quality assurance at its manufacturing sites.
