On 8 June, Raytheon sponsored the Cityforum’s cybersecurity round table in London, marking the second forum in a series of four that the organisation is hosting in 2010.
The event, ‘Cyber: Meeting threats from criminals, terrorists, ideologues’, focused on issues compiled from discussions with the Home Office, the Metropolitan Police and the cyber team at Chatham House (the Royal Institute for International Affairs).
Keynote speakers included The Rt Hon Baroness Pauline Neville-Jones, newly appointed Security Minister in the Home Office and Mr Chris Inglis, Deputy Director, National Security Agency of the United States.
An excellent panel of contributors, drawn from government departments, agencies and industry engaged in a round-table discussion to leverage best practices across countries in the domain of cybersecurity.
There was additional focus on the immediate problems confronting the United Kingdom, the United States and their friends and partners. The forum concluded with an assessment of what may be expected in the years ahead, and Raytheon is at the forefront of these discussions.
