Raytheon UK designs and manufactures mixed signal ASICs (Application Specific Integrated Circuits) on a range of CMOS processes to suit application needs of the customers.
We have extensive experience in the development and manufacturing transfer of a range of silicon and silicon carbide foundry processes. Device application areas include signal conditioning and sensor interfaces for areas such as Fire Detection, Automotive and Train Signalling. Our unique high temperature silicon carbide CMOS process capability opens up harsh environment application areas in Aerospace, Oil and Gas and future green energy devices.
Products and Services
The semiconductor business area provides:
- 4” wafer foundry services on silicon(Si) and silicon carbide (SiC) substrates, with experience of III-V on silicon integrationObsolescence re-manufacture with full military screening to a number of major defence programmes in Airborne radars, Missiles and Military radios.
- Full custom mixed signal Application Specific Integrated Circuits, with non-volatile memory
- High temperature CMOS on SiC processes in development with operating temperature target 450ºC
- Re-manufacture of obsolete devices with full military screening
- Full Electrical test capability at both wafer (4”/6”) and package-level testing
- Wafer Saw for 4”/6”, sort and inspection
- Test development capability for mixed signal ASICs
- Full device qualification capability
- Product analysis, test and characterisation capability
Flexible Fab Approach
The Semiconductor Business area operates a flexible fab approach with process developments taking place alongside existing production processes. This allows new processes to be developed in-situ with the main production toolset. Other benefits of our services include:
- Start up and business incubation experience, Raytheon UK offers:
· Design, manufacture, test, assembly and qualification capabilities on Si and SiC
· Support in supply chain/materials procurement activities.
· Support in transitioning manufacturing to non-Raytheon UK locations (if applicable)
- Vertical integration with our co-located Raytheon UK Hybrid and CCA (Circuit Card Assembly) facilities
- Embedded Six Sigma engineering and production culture
