Allied Rapid Reaction Corps Command and Control Information System (ARRC C2IS)
Raytheon Systems Limited (RSL) is a key member of a team led by Thales UK that is undertaking the Assessment Phase of the UK MoD's ARRC C2IS programme. RSL is utilising its unmatched combination of capabilities in system architecture design and advanced system software development such as is being currently demonstrated on the JETTS programme. RSL also has access to Raytheon's U.S.-based capabilities that have already delivered highly capable HQ solutions such as the Coalition Deployed HQ (CDHQ) now operational in Iraq.
ARRC C2IS will bring substantial benefits in the form of integrated command and control tools for NATO's High Readiness Force (Land) HQ and these will increase the command's operational tempo whilst lowering the overall cost to support and sustain the information system.
ARRC C2IS goals include ensuring that the system is easier to use than current C2IS; that the new system provides benefits to the user from the start; that the system provides information that users can't get from other sources; and that the system must meet the operational needs.
The ARRC C2IS team is based in Wells, Somerset , and has established a demonstration laboratory at Rheindahlen in Germany . It is also building a technical demonstrator as a risk reduction exercise to prove the system architecture.
