Raytheon’s varied global ISTAR solutions address a global intelligence, surveillance, target acquisition and reconnaissance market estimated at more than $20 billion over the next five years. Leveraging its world-class Mission Systems Integration, multi-intelligence sensor systems and C3 capabilities, Raytheon offers solutions tailored to fit the most demanding requirements. Among these are full airframe/sensor options adaptable to manned or unmanned platforms. Potential markets include the Mideast, India, Japan, Australia, Europe and South America.
Raytheon’s Global ISTAR Capabilities
A prime example of Raytheon’s global ISTAR expertise is our development of the Airborne Stand-Off Reconnaissance (ASTOR) — an advanced long-range ground surveillance system now fully deployed with the U.K. Ministry of Defence. ASTOR offers the best in continuous air-to-ground surveillance capabilities. The system’s dual-mode Synthetic Aperture Radar/Moving Target Indicator (SAR/MTI) sensor is fully integrated with two levels of ground stations, providing maximum flexibility for the battlefield commander.
Our proven global ISTAR solutions include platform-sensor integrations such as the ASTOR/Sentinel RK1 and B350 mission aircraft systems; and globally - the multimission maritime surveillance sensors aboard the P-8; the Global Hawk Enhanced Integrated Sensor Suite; the Predator and Reaper unmanned sensor systems; and tactical airborne sensors for the F/A-18 Super Hornet.
As the prime contractor, Raytheon can deliver a full range of global ISTAR capabilities –– from hardware and software to infrastructure systems, training and comprehensive Contractor Logistic Support packages.
Raytheon has a successful history of designing, developing and delivering ISTAR systems for international requirements. Our global ISTAR technologies are available, affordable and exportable.
