RSL's Northern Ireland Systems & Software Centre (NISSC) was created to focus on high quality / high value systems and software engineering and development services. The facility was opened in Derry, Northern Ireland, to leverage the high availability of software engineers in the area.

The company's goal is to supply software engineering solutions to programmes that need effective software development carried out in a controlled, expert and cost efficient manner. NISSC is able to support any part of the software lifecycle, from requirements gathering and definition, through integration and on-site acceptance testing.

NISSC follows best practice processes. As a measure of the facility's success it has achieved CMMI level 3, the world-renowned Carnegie Mellon University 's SEI (Software Engineering Institute) software maturity index rating.

NISSC is able to provide the expertise to successfully enable the reduction of risk in crossing the System - Software Engineering boundary, and it has a commitment to strong engineering discipline and principles.
